Magritte Pt. 2

I started out having one particular thing in mind and ended up here. Let me know what you think. These are variations. I'm not sure where to go from here. I think I need to let go of that egg though.

Ink Blots and Margitte

I'm currently working on photo illustration inspired by Magritte.

Super Fun Facts:
His mother died when he was 14 years old and he paid the bills by painting wall paper. He didn't live the "artist" life. He painted in his dining room and put everything away when he was finished.

Here are some of my favorite of his paintings:

Here are some of the images I'm considering using:

Homemade inkblots- special thanks to my lovely housemates

Boxing gloves found on Flickr- I'm thinking of doing some sort of collage with these:

First Post

I'll be using this blog as a tool to not only share work that I think is important but to let you in on happenings, progressions, and future aspirations. I stopped blogging for a long time because it became a place to whine and complain about whatever unnecessary drama was going on at the time. Those times are gone and I am thoroughly enjoying the mundane nature of a drama-free(for the most part) life. Focus is something I was lacking for a while and luckily I found something I actually care about, something that means something to me, something that I strive to understand, and improve upon. Honestly, Art is something I can never live without, my other interests have taken a backseat in the past couple of years, but I'm okay with that. I'm at a point where my style is just starting to really develop. Its not just about making things beautiful, its about meaning.
